My God, it's Full of Stars

Goodbye, Arthur C. Clarke. You are star stuff once again, and we will miss you.

Apparently, just before he passed, a gamma ray burst that started ~7.5 billion years ago reached earth which NASA is calling, "the most intrinsically bright object ever observed by humans in the universe."

I like the proposal by
this guy that it be called the "Clarke Event".
